The Mallards Nest B & B is located 3 miles from historic Shelton on a beautiful
inlet of Puget Sound. Shelton is a peaceful little town located on the Olympic
Peninsula. We are just 12 miles from Hood Canal with it's lovely beaches and
the hiking trails of the Olympic National Forest.
Shelton, found in Mason County, has several fine restaurants as well as fast food diners. Our local Museum's focus is on the timber industry and there are several antique and
collectable emporiums for your shopping pleasure. There is also, a lovely Native American museum featuring the history of the Squaxin Island tribe as well as their Little Creek Casino just 4 miles south of Shelton on Hwy 101.
